Random update time:

Work is going well..
I'm not quite as sick as I was earlier this week!!

Spanish class rocked my world on Wednesday. I sat through the entire class with a big grin on my face, I kid you not.

2 weeks until Adam comes up! :)

And.. the weather's great over here in Boston. I'm welcoming spring with open arms, baby!

More real stuff later on when it's not approaching 2 a.m... go to the other blog if you want a bit more..

peace,
Amanda

Please don't think I'm trying to exploit you or pressure you into anything.. but I consider you my friends and therefore feel like I can at least let you know this is going on and that you can help if you would like.

I have decided to walk in the Walk for Hunger on May 1st this year. I used to do this walk when I was a kid, but then along the way I stopped (college played a role). Now I'm back and walking. This cause has always been very dear to my heart as I feel closely tied to the homeless and the hungry after the housefire in 1995. I'm not expecting everyone to pledge and won't make a judgement on you if you don't -- I'm also not expecting large numbers donated. Most of you are college students or graduates with debts! :) Even just $5.00 can make a significant difference. I am hoping to be able to make my $500 goal and am right now at $85. If you can spare a bit, please help out! thanks!

The following is the bit from the website that goes into Emails:
Did you know that in the poorest neighborhoods in Massachusetts, as many as one child in three lives in a home that struggles to put food on the table?

You can help me take action to alleviate hunger in our communities. Go to http://www.projectbread.org/donation.asp?username=ibeingotherwise&rw=walker and make a pledge to support me on Sunday, May 1st, when I will participate in The Walk for Hunger. Or you can make a general donation to my Walk Team by going to http://www.projectbread.org/teampage.asp?t=1123 By sponsoring me, you can help put food on the tables of the neediest citizens of our state.

Did you know that $125 provides 250 people at a homeless shelter with a bowl of hot soup and a sandwich? Pledges from The Walk for Hunger will help fund 400 emergency food programs in 124 communities. Online pledging makes it easy to help, and Project Bread needs our support now more than ever.

If you’d like to learn more about hunger in Massachusetts and about Project Bread, check out www.projectbread.org.

Thank you for your support!

/end website words.

If you want to sponser me, you can also just click on www.projectbread.org, then click donate, click pledge a walker on line, click i want to support a walker, then type in Hasta la victoria siempre under group name and you should find my page. Yes, i named my team hasta la victoria siempre ("to the victory always"). right now, I am a team of one, but I have invited my uncle, aunt, and their kids.. I have also invited one or two friends. hopefully they will join!!!

paz y amor
